Byte-Sized Brief
- AirTags are now shareable with JetBlue staff.
- This helps recover lost luggage faster.
- The feature uses Apple’s Find My app.
If you’ve tucked an Apple AirTag inside your luggage, JetBlue can now help you track it down. Thanks to a relatively new feature in the Find My app, travelers can share the real-time location of their AirTag with JetBlue’s baggage crew (it also works for flights with Delta, United, Swiss, and others). This makes it a lot easier to track down your missing bag when it doesn’t show up on the carousel.
The feature is called Share Item Location, and it lets you generate a temporary tracking link that can be shared by scanning a QR code at the airport or working with a JetBlue staffer. It’s secure, too—JetBlue only sees the location until you get your bag back. The feature is available on devices running iOS 18.2 and later.
The Bottom Line
JetBlue now supports Apple’s Share Item Location feature, which means you can share your AirTag’s location with the airline to help recover lost luggage.
