Anthropic and Canva users can now use both products more efficiently, thanks to a new Canva integration with Claude. This update makes Claude the first AI assistant with complete Canva design workflow access via Canva’s MCP Server, including secure access to users’ designs. The MCP-Claude relationship eliminates the need to upload assets or click in and out of apps.

Instead, users can submit a natural prompt in a Claude chat and generate and edit Canva designs without leaving the conversation. In addition to transforming chats into fully realized designs, this new linking feature enables Claude to search Canva libraries for references or add existing documents or presentations, as well as provide context-aware autofilling of branded templates. Only paid Canva and Claude account holders gain this AI design upgrade, and the tools at your disposal depend on the Canva tier you have.
