Summary
- Apple will temporarily increase trade-in values for iPhones until June 18th.
- Some new trade-in values are higher than before, offering up to $50 more.
- Trade-in values will revert to normal after June 18th, so take advantage now.
Trade-ins are a good option for saving money on a new iPhone. Sadly, though, Apple recently decided to decrease trade-in values towards new phones. Now, they’re being slightly brought back up again, albeit seemingly for a limited time.
Apple is running a promotion that will slightly increase the value it will give you for trade-ins towards a new iPhone purchase. As a reminder, they were reduced a mere four months ago, with some trade-in values seeing reductions of up to $50 across the board. For a limited time, though, Apple seems willing to bring back the old trade-in values—because yes, while this is a limited-time increase in theory, a lot of the trade-in values here are just the old trade-in values. Some of them are higher than the old ones: the company will give you up to $120 for the third-gen iPhone SE, while it previously offered only $100. Meanwhile, others are lower, but it’s an across-the-board increase.
As for how much time this will apply for, we’ll have this right up until June 18th, where trade-in values will go back down to their usual. The new trade-in values are as follows:
