OnePlus Pad 3 could be the other tablet for iPhone owners

OnePlus Pad 3 could be the other tablet for iPhone owners

If you’re an iPhone owner it doesn’t make much sense to buy a non-iPad tablet, but OnePlus wants to change that with the forthcoming OnePlus Pad 3.

The company has revealed the OnePlus Pad 3 will be fully unveiled on June 5 with the company teasing “seamless iOS syncing” has one of the key new features. That could give iPhone users an alternative to the best iPad tablets

OnePlus didn’t offer further information about what this means and how it’ll be accomplished. However, it’s likely the boast is related to the O+ Connect app which enables OnePlus and Oppo phone users to quickly share files with iOS/iPadOS and macOS.

We’ll wait to hear more about that, but OnePlus did reveal more goodies today. It promised an update to its Open Canvas multitasking feature it promises will be next-level compared to what we saw on the OnePlus Open.

We also know it’ll carry the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor doing the heavy lifting while it’s likely to come with the a 13.2-inch 144Hz LCD display and a large 12,140mAh capacity battery, likely to mirror the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro already available in China. Barring the name the devices are likely to be the same (per 9to5Google).

In a post on X, the company said: “Meet the all-new OnePlus Pad 3—powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, featuring an upgraded Open Canvas for next-level multitasking, and now with seamless iOS syncing. All wrapped in a stunning Storm Blue finish. Launching 5 June 2025. Built for work, play, and everything in between. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.”

Opinion

It’d be an interesting strategy that no-one’s really attempted before. By offering better syncing with the iPhone, such as easy file sharing between the two platforms, it gives iOS users another option if they don’t want to go Apple, Apple, Apple for all of their devices. No other Android manufacturer has thought of this and it could be good way for the OnePlus Pad 3 to stand out.
