The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now available for purchase worldwide, following its unveiling earlier this month.

Hailed by Samsung as “the perfect balance of premium performance in ultra-thin form”, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, from its impossibly slim dimensions and camera specs to its price and more.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was revealed on 13 May 2025, and was immediately available for pre-order before going on sale on 30 May 2025.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge sits firmly between the entry-level Samsung Galaxy S25 and the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra. While the 256GB-sized Galaxy S25 Edge will set you back £1099/$1099, the 512GB model is £100/$120 more at £1199/$1219.

Undoubtedly, the biggest selling point for the Galaxy S25 Edge is how impressively thin the phone is. At just 5.8mm thick and weighing just 163g, the handset is incredibly lightweight and feels brilliant in-hand. 

Although it may appear fragile, the S25 Edge is surprisingly durable with an IP68 rating, a titanium body and brand new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 coating. 

The latter is actually a world-first and is promised to deliver “enhanced drop performance on rough surfaces, helping to enable thinner form factors”. According to Corning, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 survived drops of up to one meter on a surface replicating concrete.

Otherwise, the Galaxy S25 Edge is available in a choice of three colours: Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Icyblue.

Akin to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, the S25 Edge has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz LTPO 3 technology. We praised the display of the S25 Plus as being “bright”, “vibrant” and capable of ensuring all your content looks great, and it’s very much the case with the S25 Edge. 

Having said that, as the display features the same QHD Plus resolution as its thicker counterpart, this could result in the phone’s already smaller-than-average battery being drained. More on that a little later.

Unlike even the entry-level Samsung Galaxy S25, which has three rear sensors, the Galaxy S25 Edge surprisingly sports just two. 

These lenses include a 200MP main sensor, which is similar to the S25 Ultra, and a 12MP ultrawide with auto-focus and macro support. Samsung promises the 200MP lens provides users with “sharper photos” and “images with over 44% improved brightness in low-light environments”, while being 80% slimmer than the S25 Ultra’s sensor.

Like the rest of the Galaxy S25 line-up, the Edge doesn’t just sport a 12MP selfie lens but all the AI photo editing tools in Galaxy AI. These tools include the clever Audio Eraser, which removes unwanted sounds from videos and Generative Edit to move and delete objects from your photos too.

Powering the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is Qualcomm’s custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, which can also be found across the entire Galaxy S25 series. With impressive AI-processing capabilities and speedy performance, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is able to comfortably run the entire Galaxy AI toolkit.

In fact, we found the phone felt speedy “with quick app opening times and buttery-smooth scrolling”. However, this isn’t surprising, considering we’ve been impressed with the processor both across the Galaxy series and among the best Android phones of the year so far.

Plus, the S25 Edge sports a reconfigured and thinner vapor chamber, which ensures steady heat dissipation to keep the handset cooler for longer – though it still heats up noticeably in our experience.

As the Galaxy S25 Edge is such an impressively thin phone, it’s perhaps unsurprising that its battery capacity is much smaller than its Galaxy siblings. In fact, at just 3900mAh, this is one of the smallest batteries we’ve seen in a 6.7-inch smartphone for a long time. 

Samsung claims the battery should provide decent 24 hours of video playback, but in our experience, it’ll need a top-up during the day to make it through to the end of the day with a charge remaining. 

When it does come time to recharge, Samsung promises you can expect up to 55% charge in around 30 minutes, as long as you have a 25W adaptor. Alternatively, you can rely on the slower but more convenient 15W wireless charging capabilities if you’re not in a rush.
