This is one of the best horde shooters to have released in a while. Right now it has a solid campaign, pvp, and a pve mode that ties back into the campaign story. Campaign and PvE are both 3 player co-op, pvp is 6v6.

The pve mode called “Operations” is very replayable and is where you can level up and upgrade one of 6 different classes. 25 levels with perks to unlock at each level, plus you can prestige up to 4 times for a few additional perks. Cosmetic unlocks throughout the leveling, and all the DLC is cosmetics only.

The operations mode has 6 difficulties and is where you will need to “get good” in order to survive at the top 3 difficulties. This game has a combination of shooting and melee mechanics, Dark Souls X Gears of War X WWZ all smashed together vibes. Really fun once you learn how to mix it all together, really brings the Space Marine power fantasy to life.

Besides different classes that each have their own unique power perk, they all get access to a variety of guns and melee weapons that all each have their own level systems and perk unlocks.

On top of all this, a brand new horde mode is about to be announced at this week’s Warhammer skulls event, and will be free and looks very promising from the leaks so far. Should be a sneak peak or trailer this week.

All in all I love this game way more than I thought I would and have sunk a few hundred hours in at this point.
