Hyundai offers their electric setup in multiple levels of performance. The base SE Standard Range is the least powerful, with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive only. Hyundai has revised the battery packs for the 2025 model year. The SE Standard Range keeps its 63 kWh pack while every other model now gets a 84 kWh pack. Previously, the larger pack was 77.4 kWh, so the new model gets a reasonable bump to total range. Rear-wheel drive models with the upgraded pack offer the longest range.
Hyundai makes some grand claims when it comes to charging times for the Ioniq 5. The Korean brand says that you can go from 10 to 80 percent battery in as little as 20 minutes when plugged in to a DC fast charger with the supplied CCS adapter. They claim that five minutes of charging adds 68 miles of range.
