Misplacing your keys or wallet can be a real headache. Chipolo is one company that has been working on helping you find those lost items, and their latest offering, the Pop, looks to bridge the gap for both iPhone and Android users. It takes some of the best aspects of their previous trackers and combines them into a single, versatile device.
If you’ve used Chipolo’s trackers before, you’ll notice the Pop shares a similar colorful aesthetic with older Chipolo trackers. However, the key difference lies in its ability to work with both Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find My Device networks. Previously, you had to choose: the Chipolo One Spot for iPhone or the Chipolo One Point for Android. Now, the Pop gives you that same peace of mind but with the added flexibility of working with both platforms (though not simultaneously).
Like its predecessors, the Chipolo Pop sports a compact, disc-like design, slightly larger than a quarter. It comes in a range of vibrant colors (unlike the One Point, which was only available in white) and includes a built-in key ring. This simple yet important feature saves you from needing extra accessories to attach to your belongings. Inside, a replaceable CR2032 battery keeps it powered for up to a year, which is a nice feature compared to trackers with non-replaceable batteries.

Chipolo One Point Review: An Almost Reliable Bluetooth Tracker
For three years, iPhone owners have had exclusive access to an affordable, simple tracker that “just works”—no third-party apps required. Finally, Android owners have an answer to the AirTag in the Chipolo One Point. In fact, they have multiple options, with the also new Card Point. The question is, are they any good?
When it comes to finding your lost items, the Pop doesn’t skimp on sound. It features the same loud 120dB alarm that I appreciated on the Chipolo One Point, making it easier to locate your misplaced items from far away. The Bluetooth range has also seen a boost, now reaching up to 300 feet. In my experience with the One Point, the previous 200-foot range was generally sufficient, but the extra reach on the Pop could prove beneficial in larger spaces.
Durability-wise, the Chipolo Pop gets an IP55 rating, offering protection against dust and light water splashes. This is an improvement over the One Point, which had a lower IPX5 rating, meaning the Pop should better withstand everyday use and light moisture. While you probably wouldn’t want to submerge it in water, it should hold up fine attached to your dog’s collar during a walk in the rain.
One of the strengths of Chipolo’s trackers has always been their companion app, and the Pop is no exception. While it seamlessly integrates with Apple’s and Google’s native tracking apps, using the Chipolo app unlocks additional features. You can customize the alert sound, and if you’re an Android user, you’ll get handy “left behind” notifications. The app also lets you use the Pop as a remote camera shutter and, a particularly useful feature I highlighted in my One Point review, allows you to ring your phone by double-pressing the tracker, even when it’s on silent.
While the Chipolo Pop sounds great on paper, and the $29 price is nice, your experience will vary widely depending on the platform you choose to use it with. Apple’s Find My network is expansive and very reliable, while Google’s Find My Device network is still young and not super helpful. Hopefully, with more products like the Chipolo Pop, that will change.
